President
Brittany Hankinson-McGovern has been a board member of the Arc of Laramie County since 2017, served as vice president from 2019-2024, and, as of January 1, 2025, is the Board President. She is the mother of Arc member Tina. Her husband, Brandin, is a retired FireFighter from the United States Air Force. They moved to Wyoming as a family with the Air Force in October 2017.
Brittany is the Exceptional Family Member Program Family Support Coordinator (EFMP-FS) at F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo. Brittany is a civilian serving F. E. Warren AFB in this role since the position was implemented in April 2018. She serves as the focal point, referral source, and program expert for our community’s Exceptional Family and military members. Brittany has been serving the disability community for over 18 years in several different professional capacities. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology/Child Development and a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Psychology/Developmental Disabilities.
This knowledge and experience, in addition to her personal experience as a parent of an individual with developmental disabilities, allow Brittany to effectively navigate resources and deliver services to members and families of the developmental disability community. Brittany actively bridges the local disability community with the F. E. Warren AFB community through extensive collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies and numerous councils and boards on and off the installation.
Brittany is excited to be able to continue serving on the Arc Board and supporting and assisting the outstanding Arc members and their families with living the best possible lives they can.
