Scoops for a Cause at Fridays on the Plaza

The Arc of Laramie County is back at Fridays on the Plaza at the Choo Choo Moo ice cream cart. Stop by between 6:00 and 8:00 PM, grab a scoop, and a portion of all proceeds will go directly to The Arc to support our programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The concert series is free and family-friendly — the Marshall Tucker Band headlines this week — so come for the music, the food trucks, and a cause worth a few extra calories. No ticket required, just find the cart in front of the Albany.

Magic: The Gathering Game Day

Do you play Magic: The Gathering, or have you always wanted to learn? Here’s your chance. MTG is one of the world’s most popular trading card games, around since 1993. Each player builds a deck of creatures, spells, enchantments, and artifacts, then uses strategy and a bit of luck to reduce their opponent’s life points to zero. Every game plays out differently, which is what keeps it interesting.
No experience needed. The basics are easy to pick up, and experienced players will be on hand to teach you. Whether you’ve played for years or this is your first game, you’re welcome — this is a free event open to members and non-members, all abilities. Slices of pizza are available for $1.00, and starter packs for $5.00 each. Already have a deck? Bring it along.

Introduction to Pickleball — June Inclusion Evening

Sunday, June 28 | 12:00 – 2:00 PM | The Picklr, Cheyenne | $5.00 per person

The team at The Picklr believes pickleball is for everyone, and so do we. It’s one of the fastest-growing sports in the country for good reason — easy to learn, genuinely fun, and adaptable to all ability levels.
Pickleball is a great way to get moving and stay active, helping improve balance, coordination, and overall fitness. The smaller court and slower-paced ball make it more accessible than many other racquet sports, so players of all abilities can jump right in and feel successful. It’s also a strong social activity: it encourages teamwork, builds confidence, and creates connections on the court, with plenty of laughter and high-fives along the way.
This event is open to anyone with a disability and their families and support people — the more the merrier. Come at noon and stay the whole time, or drop in anytime between 12:00 and 2:00 PM. A light snack will be provided to participants who sign up. Please wear athletic clothing and closed-toe shoes. A liability release form must be signed upon arrival.
Pre-registration and payment are required through Zeffy. No experience necessary — just bring your enthusiasm.
